Three Little Ghosts

Three Little Ghosts by
I have such an affinity to Halloween! It’s definitely my favorite holiday! So I decided to create some cute little chibi ghosts just for you! So let me introduce you to Derpy, Polty and Francis!

Supplies Needed:

(each item purchased from the links above will provide me with a small commission. Thank you for your support and helping to keep my patterns free!)

Stitches you need to know and their abbreviations:

    • Single Crochet – sc

    • Slip Stitch – ss

    • Single Crochet 2 Together – sc2tog or dec

    • Double Crochet – dc

    • Chain – ch

    • Back Loops Only – blo

    • Front loops Only – flo
    • Reverse Bobble Stitch. – I’m not sure this is something that happens frequently. So ill explain the stitch below.

  •

Notes before you begin:

All of the ghosts are worked in the round and in continuous rounds. The ghosts are worked in single crochet unless otherwise noted.

Use stitch marker to keep track of your first stitch in each row. You will heavily rely on your stitch marker, so please be comfortable with it!

Reverse Bobble Stitch – Normally when you do a bobble stitch, you are crocheting backward so the bobbles will face the rice side. But, on these ghosts, we cant have row going backwards because it would make it look wrong. So were going to do a bobble stitch wrong side out and then were going to push the bobble stitch through the right side so that they pop out where we want them. Once you do the bobble stitch, use the end of your crochet hook to push the bobble out the right way.

1. Yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull up a loop. Yarn over, pull through two.

2. Keep doing this until you have a total of 5 loops on your hook.

3. Yarn over, pull through all the 5 loops at once.

Other Information:

If you cannot get stuffing (if you live in a rural area like myself or for other reasons) Go to a dollar store and buy their $2-dollar pillows. Each bear will use about one pillow and it’s a cheap alternative when you cannot get true Fiber Fill.
